This is an exquisite and rare lineage we've been building for a decade! We trained siblings to his sire for years, knowing they were superior trail mounts. When the time came, we custom built his sire through an AI breeding to a superior mare (Silver Sage - Click here- she is a superior and diverse mount) We knew this was the match with a highly talented mare! The resulting offspring was so nice we did it twice!R2 The Smoking Dun is a gentle, willing horse and superior gelding for beginners! BUT right before he retired from his short breeding career we knew we wanted to keep a little bit of him. We chose 2 mares to breed. R2 Oblivion is a TALL, fine mare from Canada and an ideal cross for her gait and personality- it's like we are doubling down on GENTLE and GAIT. I can confirm that it worked! This boy can pick up the squarest gait in the field or in the saddle, as they say in Kentucky, he can gait a hole in the ground. He LOVES ALL the cuddles you are capable of giving... in the most polite and respectful kind of way!
